JLG Industries, Inc. (NYSE: JLG) is
introducing a new line of compact telehandlers and four new aerial work platforms
at The Rental Show being held in Orlando, Florida from February 7 to February
9, 2006. The Rental Show, sponsored by the American Rental Association, is the
annual trade show for rental dealers
with over 11,000 attendees from 50 states and over 30 countries expected to attend
the 50th anniversary of the show.
The new products being introduced are expected to expand the
market by meeting the needs of new users in the retail, agricultural and industrial
maintenance markets. The new telehandler models are compact machines for applications
such as farming and residential construction where compact size, maneuverability
and less weight are needed. The JLG
Model G6-23A has a rated capacity of 6,600 lbs. and a maximum lift height
of nearly 23 feet; while the Model G5-19A has a 5,000-lbs. rated capacity and
19-foot maximum lift height.
The three new aerial work platforms include three vertical
mast boom lifts featuring a telescoping mast with a jib boom attached to the mast
top that holds the work platform. The JLG
Model E26MJ has a 26 foot platform height and an outreach capacity of 440
lbs. but has a small footprint, making it useful for overhead jobs where the working
area is limited. Other models in the series include the E18MJ and the E33MJ. Another
new aerial work platform product is the Model 20MVL, a self-propelled vertical
lift that can be driven at its 19-ft. 6-in. platform height and has a 350-lb.
platform capacity. This product has been designed with components for heavy-duty
applications in big box stores and other retailers such as stocking overhead shelves,
store maintenance and decoration, light construction jobs and general maintenance
applications.
